Can't Import All Mail Messages into Windows Mail
Windos Mail imported old messages from Outlook Express but from a previous
back-up. I have managed to locate the more recent *.dbx files but when I
try to import them Windows Mail says they don't exist or are being used by
another program. How do I get it to import these messages?

Re: Can't Import All Mail Messages into Windows Mail
Same way as for OE. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4 Put the dbx files
into a directory under your user profile and then make sure the read only
attribute of the files is cleared. Folders.dbx has to be in the directory
with the rest of the dbx files. Then File | Import | Messages should work.

If it doesn't, then my DBXpress program will work to extract the messages
from the files and you can drag those into WinMail. My OEX program will let
you just point to any dbx file and import the messages that way. I'll have
an update for Vista shortly.

Re: Can't Import All Mail Messages into Windows Mail
Just a small note: When you choose the location for importing your OE
messages, be sure to "select" the folder from where you want to import,
don't "open" (or go inside) that folder.
