Should I install Vista 32bit or 64bit??

I purchased Vista Ultimate Upgrade and want to install the 64 bit version.
How can I tell if my system can run this version? I have an Alienware Area
51 with XP Professional (not sure if 64bit) with Intel P4 Extreme Edition
3.4ghz with 2mb l2 cache. 2GB DDR2 PC4200 RAM.

if you are asking you probably don't need 64bit...
