Re: Pointless update alert...

Hi silas,

Is this from Windows Update or from another Office version?

If it's from Windows Update, just click on it and select hide. It
shouldn't come up any more after that.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Pointless update alert...
I keep getting alerts to download and install updates for Office 2007. I
have never had Office 2007 on my computer. I thought updates were tailored
to a users specific configuration. Why am I getting this annoying, pointless
alert?

While your in Windows update, click on the View updates to download.
Right click on the Update you want to hide & choose Hide.

Hi Shawn,

This the regular Windows Update in Vista Home Premium. Strangely I see an
option to Restore Hidden Updates but no way to actually hide it.

Re: Pointless update alert...
I found it. Thank you much.

BTW, I replied before via Windows Mail Microsoft Communities newsgroup but
my reply did not show. However, when I went to the newsgroup from
Microsoft's website my reply is displayed. I wonder why?

Anyway, thanks again.
