Rundll32 has stopped ERROR
Hello,
When I start Vista Enterprise I get 2-3 error messages - "Rundll32 has
stopped". Any suggestions on what to look for?
Thanks

Look at the programs that are supposed to run on startup. It's possible one
or more of them is having an issue starting. Make sure that was is supposed
to run on startup is running once the system is fully loaded at the desktop.

Re: Rundll32 has stopped ERROR
I had usually a similar problem:
When I use windows explorer and when a picture or movies appears file with
an icons view (it doesn’t happen with a detail view), appears the following
message:
"Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working".
What can I do to stop this kind of messages?
Thanks in advance,
RuiMBR

Re: Rundll32 has stopped ERROR
I keep getting the same message as RuiMBR is no matter how i am viewing my
folders and it happens whenever I try to access my files through any program.

What are the specific details for this crash according to the Problem

Re: Rundll32 has stopped ERROR

Go to folder options ---> view : disable show thumbnails for pictures
and videos

It appears due to codec bugs

Re: Rundll32 has stopped ERROR

If it really is happening due to a bad thumbnail handler, it should be very
possible to identify that bad thumbnail handler/codec and get it removed or
updated instead - that'll prevent it from causing further issues. =)
