if i have another IE instance and for other reason y open other IE, when i
exit from this one, yi can only choose to cance or close all tabs,, why y
can't close the 1st without closing the 2nd ?
i think that IE must ask which of the open tabs can be closed
try using online ewido(avg 7.5) and surf for others pages

Re: close all tabs
Hi,
I may not understand the question, but if closing one tab closes all tabs
(and the IE window) or if closing one IE window closes all IE windows, you
may have an incompatible browser add-on.
See: http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp
for troubleshooting information.

The troublesome program may not show up as an add-on. Disable other
security, privacy, ad-blocking programs to see if one of them is causing the
problem. Any program that interacts with Internet Explorer could be causing
this. The connection with IE may not be obvious, such as Google Desktop.

A firewall will probably not be causing this problem, but turn on the
Windows Firewall from Control Panel> Windows Firewall before disabling a
third-party firewall or security suite.

Hope this helps,
Don

Re: close all tabs

Hi,
Not sure what you mean either. If you have multiple tabs open in IE,
then it will ask you that question if you try yo close IE with the
multiple tabs open. It's asking you if you want to close all the tabs &
exit IE completely. If not, then hit Cancel, & close only the Tab you
want closed.
