Moving things around
Hi all,

Getting ready for Vista still! I have decided to install the full version
of Vista and keep my windows XP for awhile.

I currently have XP installed on 250 h/d which is named C:. I did partion
this H/D and installed Vista on the other portion now named E:. I would like
to move Xp to my spare drive which is D: and empty and then use the entire C:
only for Vista.

So here are my questions: should I just format the E: drive removing the RC2
Vista? Then could I extend the C partition so it's all Vista? I seem to
remember reading here that you can partition left to right but not right to
left. Next can I somehow move my current installation of XP to D; is there
an easy way to do this or must I re-install? I have backups of everything
and image copies of XP and RC2; I am not concerned about loosing anything
important.

I sort of know what I am doing, but this is relatively new to me and I am
not confident that I am using the best methods. Any helpful hints or
suggestions are as always much appreciated!

Also I did download Vista Boot Pro, should it go on Vista or XP partition?

Lastly; if I transfer XP to the D drive and then disconnect it before
installing Vista on C; will this "hide XP" and eliminate the restore points
problems. I would re-connect it after installing Vista; would I still need a
bootloader? Sorry to be such a pain; but I come here because I know that I
can always receive helpful information from this newsgroup!
