Invisible menus

Hi,

I just purchased installed vista ultimat German.

I installed it and all functioned well ............... until today !

Now when I press start the small arrow besite "lock computer" i do no longer
see the menu it is transparent ( the section where you can turn off the
computer )

I tryed trough properties to put the start menu in "Classic start " menu

when I then press start the menu opens but is all transparent I can only see
the contours of what is suppose to be the menu

any Idea how to fix this ?

Did you try system restore to a prior point?
