Start Menu Program Icons

I have been trying to change my program icons in the Start Menu.
Right-click/Properties/Custom/Change Icon. Most will not change the icon. I
go thru all the steps and nada. I want to change those little yellow folder
icons into some more interesting icons. Is there something I am missing or
is this another lost ability in Vista?

Hi,

Try log off and log on after changes. Vista cashed all start menu and
you don't see changes immediately.

Convenient alternative to the Start menu.

With "Single-click launch" function in PRO version you don't need
change icons manually, also you be able run program in one click!

Tried the restart and still nada..ty for the btw, but hopefully I can figure
out a way to do this without buying new software. If not, I may visit u
again.
