Microsoft Knowledge Base

There would appear to be no Articles in the Knowledge Base specific to
Vista. Have there been any announcements by Microsoft as to their
intentions?

Re: 200+ Vista MSKBs/Need More Over 1000 Bugs Shipped
Gary there are over 200 Vista MSKBs and have been for months. There need to
be many more to cover the workarounds or non-workarounds for the over
thousand bugs they shipped with refusing to take the extra 6 months they
needed.

Re: Microsoft Knowledge Base

Tim

Following your link led me to discover Windows Vista Business and
Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. They are out of order in the Product
list and earlier I was looking for Vista not Windows Vista. The second
time I looked Windows Vista Enterprise had been added.

I did a search on Windows Vista Ultimate Edition with System Restore
and last 14 days as the search criteria:
http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1

The result was 164 articles but I suspect most may not have Vista in
the Applies to: Section. I did not find any but from other web pages
there may be a few around. I would imagine reviewing all KB Articles
to see which apply to Vista could be a major undertaking.

It looks as though changes to the Knowledge Base have started.

Thanks for your input.

Re: 200+ Vista MSKBs/Need More Over 1000 Bugs Shipped
CH

There may be over 200 but they are not easily identified in the
Knowledge Base. The Vista MSKB Articles you refer to are most likely
based on the Beta product and may therefore now need updating. From
what I saw earlier I think Microsoft have made a start, perhaps today,
on updating the Knowledge Base to include Vista. A lot of Articles
written for earlier operating systems will apply to Vista.

Of course the Search Engine employed by Microsoft for use with the
Knowledge Base has never been up to scratch.

I got 164 by entering System Restore in association with Windows Vista
Ultimate Edition. However, until Microsoft have finished reorganising
I think it is best to be patient.
