AutoRun not running
Hello,

I've been using Kodak Easyshare for a while now,
and when I put my memory stick in with pictures,
Easyshare always popuped up and transfered the files
to my album for me.
Now it won't do that. Ulead pops up. I guess it installed
during a printer installation. I uninstalled Ulead and now
nothing happens when I insert my memory stick.
I have a 4-1 Card reader
(HP Computer Windows XPHome)

What I've done so far:

My Computer - right click on removable drive click on
autoplay tab an set to "prompt" for all actions.
Rebooted - That didn't work.
I tried to "select action" and chose EasyShare.
Rebooted - That didn't work either.
Went back again and clicked the "Restore Defaults" button
for each removable drive. Rebooted - No Go.

The registry must have a null value or invalid value in
it somewhere.

How do I reset all "autoplay" devices back to default?

Holiday

RE: AutoRun not running
To reset auto play select "Hardware and Sound" in the "Control Panel," then
select "AutoPlay." Make sure "Use AutoPlay" is checked at the top and then
scroll to the bottom and click on "Reset all Defaults" or in your case try
selecting the default program under "Pictures."

The same sort of thing happened to me with VmWare - USB sticks stopped
autoplaying despite turning on autoplay in VmWare and setting the autoplay
options in Vista.

Deleting
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoDriveTypeAutoRun
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoDriveTypeAutoRun

sorted it out.

btw
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\CDRom\AutoRun needs to
have a value of 1 for CD/DVDs to autoplay.

The usual warnings apply when diving into the registry ...

Regards,
