WDS boot manager timer
I have installed WDS on top of RIS and now I have a nice PXE boot manager to
select either my RIS images or my Vista images. That works just great. The
question is how to adjust the timer and the default selection? Now it
defaults on 30 seconds and on my legacy RIS images. I want the boot manager
to default on my Vista images and I want to get rid of the timer.

There must be a simple solution to this. Anyone?

Cheers,
Jos van Rijn

Re: WDS boot manager timer
Use the bcdedit tool to modify the timeout settings of the BCD store on
the image. The BCD store can be found under the \boot directory.

Re: WDS boot manager timer
Thanks for replying.

Are you sure? Isn't bcdedit for Vista and later? I'm running Windows 2003
server where all my images are located and where I installed WDS. With RIS
you could adjust almost everything in your OSChooser map. With WDS there's a
"boot" directory created, but I can't setup anything there.

Or am I missing something completely obvious here?

Cheers,
Jos van Rijn

Perhaps those subjects have something to do with each other?

I couldn't find a better group to post it, but you are more than welcome to
point me to the right direction if you know a better group. Perhaps that
would help me.
