Re: Use custom boot splash in Vista?
Thanks for the info. I had seen that there wasn't a MS/Windows
bootsplash any more, but had thought there might still be a way to
display a custom bootsplash. As I recall, the /bootlogo parameter
wasn't documented for a long time, so I thought I'd check with the
experts.
Not sure I'd consider 640x480x16 colors high resolution (that's all you
get for a replacement bootsplash in XP), but OK...
We did see a couple of second reduction in boot time by replacing the
animated XP bootsplash with our custom bootsplash, but that wasn't our
primary reason for replacing it. This is a single-purpose system, and
"branding" it was what we wanted more than anything.
