May 09 latest Vista update has prevented my clock running in sideb

Having recently installed the automatic updates for Vista - I have Vista
Business. The clock on my sidebar, whic previously ran perfectly well, now
fails to run for more than 10 seconds and then freezes. I'm not a pc wizz,
but can anyone give me a simple solution to the problem?
I'm also convinced that my sidebar is not displaying the other gadgets quite
as it did prior to the update. Can anyone help?
