Tony:
The TPM chip has to be version 1.2. If the TPM chip isn't version 1.2 or
there is no TPM chip on the motherboard the "Windows BitLocker Drive
Encryption Step-by-Step Guide", available at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/w.../aa905089.aspx, following
scenario 1 & 3 will allow BitLocker to be enabled and function properly. My
motherboard doesn't have a TPM chip, following the guide to the letter for
scenario 1 & 3 uses a USB stick to enable booting into Vista. If the USB
stick isn't plugged in Vista will not boot.
