BUMP!! I searched around and this is the thread that closest resembles my
problem (aside from the fact that HP refuses to support it and Microsoft
wants $60 to answer an email...) I had a problem with my laptop, so I made a
recovery disk and shipped it off to HP (on their dime). Well, they didn't fix
it, but instead upgraded me from basic to premium. Well that's all fine and
dandy, but all of my music/pictures/papers are backed up in a .wim file I
can't access. All of the research I've done says that imagex can mount .wim
files, but I can't get it to work.
The imagex /mountrw /? command gives the context, but when I use the correct
context, it says the request is not supported. wtf? Is there some sort of GUI
that I can use to mount the .wim and extract my music/pictures or am I
missing something? I usually sleep to my music, but lately the silence has
been deafening. :*(
Please help me.
