Re: Speech Recognition
Speakers are an OUTPUT device, headphones (without a microphone) are also an OUTPUT device
They convert electrical signals TO sound
To talk TO the computer you need a microphone, which is an INPUT device
A microphone converts sound TO electrical signals
You need headphones WITH an attached microphone, a desktop microphone, or a webcam with an onboard microphone
The computer can only read TO you with the speakers.
To speak TO the computer you need a microphone connected to an INPUT of your audio device
