Speech Recognition

Is there a way to use Speech Recognition without using the headphones? There
should be a way to hook up the computer to speakers so you can come into the
room and start talking to the computer?

Speakers?
Speakers are an output device.
You must have an input device: either headphones with a mic or a desktop mic or a webcam with a built in mica.

I laughed so hard watching that I'm probably going to have to start using
the speech recognition, because I spewed coffee all over my keyboard and may
have damaged it!!! Wow...
