32bit Vista now and 64bit later?
Well I just recieved my MSDN AA Business activation code and burned the ISO I
downloaded from MS earlier. So Im gonna try it out with a dual boot config
(too tied up in XP for a complete switch yet) for the time being.
But what I do have doubts about is if I activate Vista as a 32bit OS now,
will I then have any trouble later on with doing a clean install and going
64bit instead? The rig is fully 64bit ready and all, and since this is not an
OEM license it would not be a problem with some minor hardware changes. Im
not uprading from 32 to 64bit directly, clean install is better IMO so thats
the route for me when ready.
I just don´t wanna activate it in 32bit mode and then later (maybe a year)
find out that going 64bit when ready is a no go because its a locked out
option.

Much obliged.

Good thing because it is your only option. You can use Windows Easy
Transfer to transfer other items you want.

Thanks, kinda figured as much. But I still wonder if I can install Vista
32bit, and then remove it and install Vista 64bit with the same license?
