can someone help with Windows live messanger 8.5?

Ok, so I'm trying to put Windows Live Messenger version 2008 on my
computer, and of coarse I have Vista. I download like a 2.8 mb installer
from the download section on the Microsoft website. But when I try to
install it on Vista is says I don't have Windows Live Suite....

Someone please tell me: What is Windows Live Suite?
Where do I get it?
Is there a way to make Windows Live Messenger 8.5 work on Vista?

I have the 32bit version of Vista

please someone help me out.

Windows Live Suite is all of the programs in Windows Live - Call, Mail,
Messenger, Movie Maker, Photo Gallery, Writer. Just to go Microsoft and
download it.

Go here: http://download.live.com/

Press the download button. Choose what you want to be on your system. The
latest version of Messenger, ver 9, is by far the best one.
