Active desktop with sharepoint
We are using a portal which is activated automatically using Active Desktop.

Now we want to install Sharepoint and add Sharepoint's welcome page to
Active Destop. For XP it is ok but what about Vista and Windows2008 (TS
Windows server 2008) users?

Re: Active desktop with sharepoint
As I understand it, active desktop was a casualty of the 'improved security'
in Vista.

Re: Active desktop with sharepoint
vista and win server 2008 has no active desktop nor is there a way to
install such a thing...

they removed it... it's a shame because today it when it would be actually
useful that the desktop is going towards the cloud.
