Make the RDP work like in XP
Try to add these 2 lines into the default.rdp (Edit with notepad)

EnableCredSSPSupport:i:0
prompt for credentials:i:0

New RDP client is horrid
No separate field for Domain?

It saves the login names you have used? What about dumb terminals with
generic auto logins that are not part of a domain?

Were all the beta testers you guys used all testing this in their mom's
basement? Maybe next time you can use some people who work in an enterprise.

Re: New RDP client is horrid
It IS part of the domain that is the problem, so now we have to retrain our
users to use the DOMAIN\USERNAME before when it was done by high IQ
programmers it was

Username
Password
Domain

Then we could just save the somain field in the default.rdp

I hate that stupid DOMAIN\Username, I am testing LH Server 6001 right now
and its a nuisance logging on. I wished they just retained all three
fields - Username, Password, Domain.

Re: New RDP client is horrid
My co-worker just brought up a good point also.... what about places that
have servers on multiple domains? Now all your END USERS have to remember
what domain each server is on? Atleast with the smart version you could
connect THEN PULL DOWN the domains. In this one without a username and
password it will not connect and it uses the servername as the domain if you
don't use the "DOMAIN/username"

I'm guessing they realized that a drop down list of Domain names was not
very good idea! You might as well have a drop down full of valid login
names also.
