You also bash MS as a company, you bash MS customer support as well as MS
tech support, Ms MVPs....
WMP11 and IE7 are not just for Vista.
In addition, Vista is what is it. What is your consistent bashing of it
going to do for anyone? Regardless of your FEELINGS and OPINIONS (which
users in this NG have made it very clear, do not mater) Vista runs well and
countless users are happy with it.
As more quality drivers are released, your arguments become more and more
invalid.

Re: Vista is a secure OS... YEAH RIGHT~~!
I bash ms only about vista, and mvps only when they say how great vista
is... I have never said anything bad about MS before vista! NEVER!
I have ie7 and wmp11 on xp.. but of course I dont use them much...
I dont care if every single person in here disagrees with me.
I am still entitled to my opinion... and I am sure I am right.
there are so many examples in history where some people
had different opinions however they were right, yet everyone else thought
that they were crazy or stupid.
The reason for this, is that I have a different vision of how things should
be.
Most see things as they are and say why, but I dream things that never were
and say WHY NOT!
Vista fans dont even ask why..... lol..
How can I debate about something that isnot here and I cannot show you?
I am talking about the vista that SHOULD have been, that does not exist!
The vista MS was capable of making and never did so.
You see my disatisfaction as trolling.. I see it as a starting point to do
things differently.
I can expand on this.. but here is not the place or the time.
I also agree with you that vista will improve with time...
because of patches, and the support for apps and drivers.
So we do agree on something at least.
Also I want to tell you that my opinion of you is very different than what
you may expect.
Im not a fool... nor am I blind. I know when people have qualities.
Hey im not such an enemy of vista, really Im not. I even told my very own
sister to get vista with her new laptop..
she was lucky though because she had me to guide her through all the
problems. Other people are not so lucky as to have a geek for a brother.

So you ADMIT you bash MVPs when they give their opinion of Vista. Yet you
lash out when someone tells you to shove your opinion? Why is it ok for you
and not for anyone else?

If all you did was give an opinion then you would be correct. However you
do far more then that.

Of an opinion, yes. If giving out false unjustified advise, no.

Yup, someone will always be here to stop you.

That's because we can get Vista to work WELL. No problems.

Do WHAT differently? Your rampages will NOT get MS to redo Vista.

Fantasy Land!

Vista does not improve with Drivers. Vista IS WHAT IT IS. You need proper
drivers to use it properly.

Justin my boy, you're such a hypocrite. You bash people EVERY DAY,
playing your fantasy Lord of the Rings role where you try to pass
yourself off as Lord and Master of this newsgroup and the ultimate
authority on everything. You reap what you sow. Basic stuff kid. Wise
up and then so many won't jump on your back for a free ride.

Nope, just you and alias. When is your tiny little brain going to figure
that out?

The Halting Problem raises its ugly head here. Join the dots...
"You can't clean up malware; just wipe and rebuild if the system is
compromised"
"You can't detect/exclude all malware; just wipe and rebuild if you
think the system is compromised"
See the problem? That is why we need more attention paid to recovery
and maintenance, where malware activity is concerned. It's great that
Vista has a mOS at last, but it's left up to the user to find scanners
and tools that will work from it.
Further, a significant limitation is that the Vista mOS provides to
facility for such scanners to operate relative to the infected
installation's registry hives, as RunScanner does for Bart on XP.
So it situations like these, where "are you compromised?" is a
question that has to be answered, "maintenance" devolves down to
"just" wipe and rebuild, which is pathertic.
>Your mythical novice wouldn't be able to navigate to a different
>account in Linux or OS X either.
Having more than one user account means two sets of wretched MS
default settings to clean up, because even after 5 years of XP, there
is STILL no way that end-users can preset settings for the new account
template. It also means twice the maintenance every time an account
has to be scanned, settings fixed, etc.
Security rests on a lot of other things, such as safety, defensive
design, maintainability, etc. If those are poor (e.g. a design that
hides the true level of risk, or that allows an exploit in one file
format to flow into other file types due to poor type discipline, or
the fragility of user account registry hives, etc.) then there is a
limit to how good that security can be.

"Why do I keep open buckets of petrol next to all the
ashtrays in the lounge, when I don't even have a car?"
