Some info on XPS:
XPS is Windows Vista's native print format. That is to say, everything
that gets sent to a print spooler will be stored as XPS. This replaces
Windows' extremely old and rickety print functionality based on GDI and
a lot of print-driver voodoo. Basically, anything you build visually in
WGF (e.g. XAML) will automatically be in a format ready for print.
