Can't get Flash to work on Firefox 2.0.1

I'm running the latest version of Firefox on Vista but can't get the browser
to play Flash content. When I try, I am asked to download the Flash Player.
But when I try, I just get a blank screen (no download takes place).

Is this a known issue?

Are there any solutions?

Try running Firefox as an administrator (right-click > Run as
administrator), load Flash, then exit Firefox and run it normally.
