A message to the trolls.
While you think that Windows XP is the best, you're outdated just like any
hardware that is purchased. No matter how new, newer stuff is released. I'm
currently running 3 operating systems that are much more secure and
superior, Windows XP x64, Vista Enterprise x86 & x64 RTM. You may try to say
that Windows XP x64 is the same as XP but you're wrong again, it's more
secure because the base code is different. If it wasn't for the future all
we would have is the past, think foreword not backwards.

Why do you think I'm learning Linux? They haven't started to crack and
exploit Vista and you say it's secure? LOL! Get back to us after Hasta
La Vista has been out for a couple months and tell us how you've updated
your anti virus and numerous anti malware programs. Oh, and be sure and
brag about how much money you've spent on your various flavors of Hasta
La Vista and hardware. Have you topped a grand yet?

I normally don't answer a troll or nay-sayer. I haven't purchased a
32-bit processor in three years or built a new system in over 18 months. I
haven't changed any of my hardware for Vista to function fully. AV isn't a
problem because I don't use McAfee or Norton, I use Nod32 which is superior
to both and doesn't load the system needlessly. Windows Defender (free) and
SpyBot (free) both function very well. I update software regularly, this
year I'm updating the operating system, not a big deal. When purchased XP
Professional cost me $300.00 per copy, $200.00 for OEM, XP x64 was $145.00
per copy and Vista Enterprise was $300.00 per copy. Again not a big deal
because I keep my systems current. I can't see where the extreme cost is
that you keep saying is coming. Have a great New Year.

Shouldn't that have been titled "A message from the trolls?"

Re: A message to the trolls.
Gotta agree with Dale's response... you're trolling for arguments. That
ain't what this NG is about.

That said, sure, it's easy to get aggravated by the naysayers. And hard to
ignore them, especially if one's Vista experience is a GOOD experience. My
Vista experience, on multiple PC models, has been a good experience.

Jes' try to ignore the naysayers. Like they say... you can try to teach a
pig to sing, but you'll only end up being frustrated and amuse the pig. We
got better things to do with our lives than amusing the pig, doncha think?
