Defender
I downloaded the new update for Defender and before I ran the scan I happened
to look in the history and saw the following.
#1- Is it anything to worry about?
#2- What should I do?
#3- Clear History?

I am so new to Vista and all it's controls, etc. Possibly it is a program I
allowed to download during my operation of the computer and wanted to
download a program such as AVG 8, that asked for my permission to download,
etc.?

In case you cannot see image, here is what it says:

Name: Unknown
Alert level: Unknown
Action Taken: Permit
Date 8/25/08
Status: Succeeded

Description: This program has potentially unwanted behavior.
Advice Permit this detected item only if you trust the program or the
software publisher.

Apparently YOU permitted Vista to download and/or install something it
didn't know, which sort of defeats the purpose of Defender since it is
suppose to be some crude malware blocker/firewall defense. If that's
what you did, and it was a virus, worm or trojan, likely whatever
damage it could do was already done. If you have a anti-virus, malware
program run it and see what it says. Chances are it is nothing to
worry about... but you never know.
