Outlook 2003, Vista Ultimate - Recieving Emails

Hi All...

I noticed several posts regarding issues with either sending or recieving in
Outlook.

This issue is exceeding frustrating me...

I have just setup a new laptop at work for one of our new staff members.
Firstly Dell and Microsoft don't support all the components in the laptop
even though it is fully vista compatible, run the vista advisor and
everything is supported...... bull!!

I can send emails fine... but can't recieve them as the server times out
even if I set the time out to the longest possible.. 10mins..

I have even setup the email account using windows mail and have the same
issues

No I know my settings are correct as I can operate the accounts just fine
under XP and also the 'test' fuction in outlook works successfully.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem yet? any help would be
appreciated.
