How to recover from deep sleep?
I have a new laptop running the MSDN version of Windows Vista Ultimated
Edition that went into deep sleep and now I can't recover. When I power off
and then power on again I can see the hard disk led for a couple of seconds
but I don't hear the disks spin up. I also have a black screen. I have tried
every possible key combination trying to recover it back to a working state.
I can't even reinstall my operating system.

My laptop is a XXODD XNi 570U3 with a Core 2 Duo CPU and GeForce 7950GTX,
see the specs:
http://www.xxodd.nl/producten/notebo...70u3/specs.php

I am a experienced .NET developer but when it comes to these kind of things
I am a complete noob. I have read of people having the same problem who were
able to recover by just powering off and back on but that doesn't work for
me.

Many thanks for any suggestions

Re: How to recover from deep sleep?
If you aren't even seeing your POST screens you have a problem that isn't
related to the OS. Your need to contact the manufacturer.

Re: How to recover from deep sleep?
Darn it, I have this laptop for 3 weeks now and I got it just returned from
RMA after they had to replace my defected memory. Last time I bought this
piece of crap hardware. And then considering then I had my doubts between
this laptop and the Dell XPS... Thanks anyway I will contact the vendor.

Re: How to recover from deep sleep?
Remove Power, Remove Battery.
Reinstall battery and power.
Then give it a try.

Re: How to recover from deep sleep?
I already tried that several times. Also when disconnected from the power I
have noticed that after hours the battery gets drained completely so somehow
it is wasting battery power but I don't hear the harddisk nor does the
screen goes on or anything.
