IE 7 ftp browsing ?
Ehh is it now impossible to browse ftp servers
like i could with IE6 ?

cause when i type in ftp. urls nothing happens.. nothing at all.
i used to be using ie to upload/download files for website editing
and browsing files and such.

please tell me i still can, and some tard just locked it somewhere.

Nothing wrong with ftp access in IE7, perhaps it is a problem with that
specific site. Try the following ftp site:

ftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/

Can you get that site? That is the public store of meteorological data from
the National Weather Service.

yes thats all wery nice..
and works fine..

publick ftp site how about a ftp site with username and password acces

lets say ftp://ftp.azero.dk/
wont run,, thats the compagny that hosts my server
the issue there is excaktly the same as with my own
ftp server, how ewer if i run a ftp clien here in vista
or a browser like opera which i prefer NOT to.. cause
i like IE, i open the ftp acces to the sites just fine..

IT IS ONLY IE 7 that WONT.
i need help, where to i eneable the ftp server acces ?
not the publick service part. but the actual client part.

If IE7 won't let you open it, then just select "Open Site in Windows
Explorer" from the Tools dropdown menu.

You can't 'login to a ftp site in IE 7, you have to use a 3rd party
client or use windows explorer.

In Windows explorer type in the the address in the address bar and hit
enter/return once connected to the site got to file > login as...
