Re: Vista and dual monitors
I have an image that is 2560x1024 and I want it to span both 19" monitors. I
have tried all the settings in Vista Home Premium and I can't make it work.
If I set it to tile, it shrinks the image down to 1280 wide and tiles it. On
stretch, the image is distorted becuase the width is shrunk down to 1280 but
the height is correct. On center, the image shows up in the center of each
monitor, but doesn't span both monitors.
I had no problem doing it in XP, I think I just had to set it to "tile".
Can someone tell me how to configure this in Vista?

Re: Vista and dual monitors
You may need a utility called UltraMon though they haven't worked out all
the issues regarding Vista yet.

Vista and dual monitors
Is there any way in Vista Ultimate for me to change the background on a
second monitor?
There was a work around with XP.
Thanks

You could use Ultramon. It's not free, but it adds other features too, like
a second taskbar.

Re: Vista and dual monitors
I would hope that when the respective graphic card drivers mature, they will
start to add features like this again, at the minute some of the bigger
features are still missing so it might take a while.

Re: Vista and dual monitors
Steve
My video card is Nvidia, and I have lost the ability to customize each
window, but Nvidia will eventually get their act together and release decent
drivers and tools again..

Re: Vista and dual monitors
Ultramon seems to be incompatible with Aero.
Anyone running it on Vista with Aero?
