Depends on how MS is measuring the WEI... When PC Mag first released their
Winstone benchmark to the world, video card makers figured out how to
compromise the video tests and get higher scores. PC Mag figured -that- out
and changed the benchmark code so that vid card makers could not achieve
"fake" high scores. Or something like that... memory fades over the years...
I am a firm believer in perceived performance. If a user perceives that
Vista is faster/slower/more filling/less filling, then it doesn't matter
what WEI or any benchmark says... although, just like at the race track, we
all want higher numbers. "I have a WEI of 5.x, my PC is better than yours."
LOL. The PC I'm writing this on... a Dell D820, has a WEI of 3.2. Works for
me.
