What program did you use to back up?

You'll probably have best results using the program that backed up the files
in the first place. Unfortunately, you don't mention what that is, so
there's very little else to say about it.

What program created the files? DB suggests some kind of database. If
some image backup program you need to use it to open whatever you
"backed up".
