Setting system clock from time server
In Windows XP I could have my computer update the system clock from an
internet time server. On my new Vista machine, the option is no longer
available. I'm running a stand alone laptop machine that I connect to
a docking station at home and at work. (At work, it is part of a
domain but I'm not using a domain account on my computer.)

Re: Setting system clock from time server
You should be able to, when you're connected to the internet...

click on the clock in the taskbar, click on "Change Date and Time settings"
Internet time - change settings

If that doesn't work, try something like
