Problems connecting to a W2K Terminal Server using Windows Vista Home
I posted this in another general Windows Vista Forum, but I'm not sure which I should be using. Here's the post:
I have a user at home who cannot connect to our Terminal Server (Windows 2000 Server) using her Windows Vista computer. I'm assuming she has Vista Home Premium, but I'm not 100% sure about that. She was able to connect previously, but now all the sudden she cannot connect. She gets this error message: "
The remote computer disconnected the session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Please try connecting to the remote computer again or contact your server administrator." I walked her through deleting the MSLicense key in [FONT='Calibri','sans-serif']HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing, but that didn't help either. Our Systems Engineers team did something on their end and rebooted the server, but she still cannot connect. I think something changed in our corporate environment, but I don't have enough knowledge to prove it. Does anyone have any ideas that I can throw at our Sys Eng team to check into?
