Vista and iTunes
Every time I plug my iPod into my Vista machine (via USB), I get a Windows
dialogue asking me if I want to "Scan and fix (recommended)" or "Continue
without scanning". I don't want to do either as this is obviously not a USB
storage device.

How can I get Vista to stop displaying the message?

Re: Vista and iTunes
I am getting the same message. Also when the the 1.2.1 came out for the iPod
I kept getting a message that it was available. I tried to load it several
times and it would never load. I finally took the iPod back to my Windows XP
Pro system and the update loaded the first try. I also have a subscription
to Audible.Com and I download audible books and daily audible newspapers
that require a activation of iTunes. In XP Pro the activation only occurs
once and then it is saved. On VISTA I get prompted for activation each
download and the information does not appear to be saved. I am able to play
the content however.

Re: Vista and iTunes
I have the same problem, and it's annoying. If you let it scan, it finds
nothing to fix. I've looked pretty hard, and I haven't found any solution
yet. BTW, the iPod is a USB storage device if you have disk use enabled.
