Google got your history. Amazing how many times each of you has
mentioned sheep the past several months. My sympathies to your wife.
She must be extremely liberal to tolerate such a bubble head like
yourself considering your best friend is the newsgroup buffoon and you
both act like damn fools daily.

Sorry, I will reserve that for you, but thanks for the suggestion. If
you do take that long walk, bring Adam along with you.

lol.
I used to frequent those places too...until the spitting incident at Sonics
was discovered.
Employees were spitting in ALL the drinks...not just vengeance cases.
Low life's work at fast food joints...so I'd advise not eating there.
Disgusting people make disgusting food.

Indeed, a lot of sick/callous people running around and many work in
the food/food service industry. Some just don't care if what they do
makes people sick or not.
During the 50's and 60's my father worked in a food processing plant
that did the canning for more than one name brand food company. He ran
the equipment that cooked food under high pressure steam once it was
in cans, thousands in a single batch in giant machines. Things like
beef stew, chili, stuff like that. It was hard, hot work. In the
summer the temp was 120 or higher.
Since there was a large volume of raw meat around the feds always had
inspectors sniffing around the plant. If they saw something they
didn't like they could tag a whole side of beef or whatever and it had
to be destroyed or used for pet food... or so was the idea.
Of course the inspectors couldn't be everywhere and so when they
weren't looking one of the plant supervisors would just rip the tag
off and recycle the meat and most times got away with it.
Worse, the assembly lies were always kept moving at a brisk pace.
Workers that trimmed the meat sometimes dropped it on the floor which
was soaked in animal blood and uneatable parts and covered in sawdust
and rat droppings. Scooped up the dropped meat in their hand and
whatever else it landed on in one motion, back on the table, back into
production. Nobody was ever the wiser. While the high pressure cooking
killed any bacteria, it's the thought of what you're putting in your
mouth. Of course nobody knew. Now you do. Its still common practice
I'll wager. Yuck.
Sick yet?
A couple days ago I mentioned many years ago I worked in the liquor
industry, and said if you only knew how they make it. I was referring
to a major wine producer, ok technically not liquor. Well we got the
raw product in from California in railroad tank cars. It was pumped
into underground storage tanks. Almost a million gallons of wine. To
get in from the railcars to the storage tanks they used hoses similar
to fire hoses under high pressure. To get to the bottling line from
storage it was glass pipe, way smaller in diameter. To keep things
clean they of course would pull this piping apart and clean it. At
break or lunch time the workers were suppose to seal the end of the
pipe so nothing would get in. Well, more than once something with pink
ears, whiskers, four legs and a long tail did get in and ran down the
line with all it's dips and turns hundreds of feet to the start of
bottling line. The plant being right next to the Chicago river we had
some really big river rats. Problem was, if nobody noticed, they would
resume production and never be the wiser. Of course the rat was drown
very quickly but none the less all the wine was flowing around his
little furry body giving that batch of whine a little boost in flavor.
Depended on who was watching if or not they destroyed that batch and
if so how much. They could produce many thousands of bottles an hour
and sometimes the furry little critter wasn't noticed right away
unless it got carried all the way down to the end just before it hit
the nozzles filling the bottles. Oops!
Then there was the time... never mind, you really don't want to know.

LOL, I used to work in both beef and pork plants.
What you describe doesn't surprise me at all.
I have seen so many things...
I still eat meat, but I am a little careful...
