Save File Problem in Acrobat 7.0 Professional
Just thought I'd report this. In Acrobat 7.0.8 Professional under Vista
Ultimate RTM, saving files doesn't work correctly. If I tell it to save,
highlight a file to use as a name template, modify the name and then continue
the save process to that new name, I get a question box telling me the file
already exists and asking if I want to overwrite it. As it does this, I'm
sitting there looking at the correct file name I want in the "File name" line
and the old file name I used as a template in the dialog box. The only way
to get it to save under the new name is to cancel the action entirely, and
re-save without selecting a previous file as a template.
Works properly under XP so I assume something's changed in Vista (though
Word doesn't behave this way).

Contact Adobe and tell them.

Re: Save File Problem in Acrobat 7.0 Professional
Acrobat has been updated to 8.0
(the free reader too is now 8.0)

Re: Save File Problem in Acrobat 7.0 Professional
David,
I don't think this is just an Adobe issue, although off the top of my head,
I don't remember it happening elsewhere. I'm seeing it in Adobe Reader 8.0.
It's very annoying.
Well, it's not happening in Excel, so maybe it is just Adobe.
If I get a chance, I'll check Adobe's site tomorrow.
Thanks,
TowerDave

Re: Save File Problem in Acrobat 7.0 Professional
It's an interesting situation. I'd have thought Adobe would have used a
standard Windows "Save File" library for this. But, if I print a document
from the web using their PDF print driver, that Save activity works properly.
Odd.
