Photoshop CS 3 beta for Vista anyone?
I know, I can't quite believe it either.

It seems the beta is in Vista, XP and OS X flavours

Before everyone gets too excited.....
To utilize Adobe Photoshop CS3 beta, customers require a serial number from
either Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe Creative Suite(r) 2, Adobe Creative Suite
Production Studio, Adobe Design Bundle, Adobe Web Bundle or Adobe Video
Bundle. Adobe Photoshop CS3 beta is available in English only. Customers who
have a valid serial number for all other language versions of qualifying
Adobe products can download the software. Without a serial number, users can
still download Adobe Photoshop CS3 beta, with the product expiring after two
days. Customers must register online with Adobe or have an existing
Adobe.com membership account to access the software.

Re: Photoshop CS 3 beta for Vista anyone?
Hi

Don't know CS3 but CS2 works perfectly in Vista - the only application I
tested in Vista RC1.

Opening the application and editing image is "noticeably" faster than XP
with the same base system.

So I'll assume CS 3 will even better - of course, better than Expression.

Hope this helps.

this is not true sorry

perhaps your XP was loaded and not a clean install, as your vista was...

speed of most applications is degraded in vista.. and I have tried photoshop
too.

I find that for general photo editing, Picasa2 from Google is excellent and it is free and runs in Vista as well as XP

Yes, and I did take that into consideration, but I also take that XP is on
SATA and Vista is on IDE.

Again, this is not a "scientific" benchmark so I only used the word
"noticeably" which is based on my "eyes".

Re: Photoshop CS 3 beta for Vista anyone?
Hi,

Thanks for sharing and I will take a look at that.

Another maybe for common tasks: Microsoft Digital Image Standard 2006. I
don't know how did I get it, and rarely used it and just found out it's in
my computer for maybe some time and has many image editing features.

Will try when have time.

Really? I've been using Photoshop with Vista for a nearly a couple of
months now. Yes, it works very well, but not 'perfectly'. Nearly all the
time Photoshop's main window is in Aero Basic mode, while all other programs
remain in full Aero Glass mode. Is this not the same for you? (Yes, I have
the latest Java updates).

Yes, I have noticed that large applications do load faster in Vista.
Microfox doesn't know what he's talking about. I think this must be the
effects of SuperFetch.

Ah, great! Been looking forward to CS3, and especially the Photoshop
component.

The mentioned link for download doesn't seem to work yet though..
