What do you expect from the simpletons that hang out here? It is all
how you look at the numbers. Microsoft claims it has around a billion
Windows installs worldwide. If "only" 140 million licenses have been
rendered for Vista that's roughly 10% of the install base that have
upgraded and Vista has been out over a year.
It is even more revealing when you look at how Microsoft cooks the
numbers. It isn't raw sales, not even close, much of their Vista
number is for licenses in some pre build box that HP, Dell, others
HOPE to sell. I would suspect (but don't know) that the number also
includes boxes not yet sold. Then we have the question of how many
people actually replace the preinstalled Vista with something else.
A real test would be the number of copies of Vista that have been
activated. That Microsoft won't tell and I'll wager it at best is a
fraction of that tossed around 140 million number.

And better yet, how many show up registered than after 2-4 weeks do not call
home for updates any more.
We do know this, the XP sales were unexpectedly up by 50% or something.
That means a lot of people are paying the double dip to get rid of Vista.

Interestingly still no one else is coming close to them in the market other than themselves.
It must be good being your own competitor.

The reason you don't feel your busted balls, is that they were broken beyond
hope quite some time ago.
LOL. Need to get PAN for XP, so I can killfile you. Or use Ubuntu where you
are killfiled.

Microsoft has a long history of voodoo accountability. I defy anyone
to point to any legitimate source that shows how many Vista licensees
have actually been activated. Microsoft won't say. It is all smoke and
mirrors.

You're asking a failed accountant that even the union (mob) had no use
for. He fukked up their books so badly he had to "retire", or else they
would "retire" his dumb fukkin stupid ass permanently.
Basically, he's lucky he can still walk...that is if he can!...LOL!
