Group Policy Client Service Failed the logon - Access Denied

Hello,

I get the following error: Group Policy Client Service Failed the logon
- Access Denied when I try to log on to my laptop running Vista. I booted on
safe mode and try to log in, it started to log in but then displays logging
off. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

I got this message after my desktop totally changed and had
issues...apparently this is caused by a hacker or virus. Find a system
restore point where your computer was running fine. And perform system
restore. Took care of my issue when M-Soft couldn't give me a fix.

i had same message after symantec analyst caused a problem on my
computer by deleting or changing part of the profile,

The way I fixed it was as user above stated by doing a system restore
to the point before the problem began

I too have had the same problem & I am unable to do a system restore,
unable to do a great deal as I can log in as another user, but I can't
install anything without adminstrators consent, but it just doesn't even
allow me to put a password in.

I have the same problem but I only have one account on my computer and
its my administrative account. This happened after I tryed to restore it
now my password doesnt work and i keep getting the message *Group*
*Policy* *Client* *Service* *Failed* *the* *logon *Access Denied I would
really appretiated if someone could tell me how to fix it without having
to send in my computer for repair and paying 200 something dollars.

One could speculate, but you really need to provide more details as to what
preceded your restore and how you performed your restore.
If done right, you wouldn't have this message.
