Re: Slow network performance when copying files
Hello, this fix didn't work for me, although my situtation's a little
different in that I only have one network connection, but it's like the whole
thing is capped down to 128kb or so, no matter whether I'm accessing the
internet, or files on my local domain controller (which is connected at
gigabit, I might add).
Any idea what might be causing this, or what the fix might be?
Thanks in advance,

Re: Slow network performance when copying files
Same problem here, I get 5 MB/sec if I'm lucky, very frustrating, running
Ultimate, brand new pc - I've tried everything I could find on the Web but no
luck - thinking about going back to XP unless this is solved. Slooow on
network server and on NAS drive...l

Re: Slow network performance when copying files
Yes, this problem is very annoying, and unresolvable as near as I can tell.
Some research I've come across suggests that there is some other device on
the network which is not compatible with the new technologies in Vista, and
so it falls back to that level.
One thing I've learned for sure, though, is not to try and "lock" the
settings at 100MB Full duplex -- this REALLY cripples it!!!!
One of these days maybe I'll call in my MS support incidents on this!!!!
