Domain login from home with Vista Ultimate

Hello. I have Vista Ultimate for 2 weeks now. Tonight, I joined it to my
domain at work with a PPTP vpn connection to our ISA 2004 server. After the
successful domain membership, it asked me to restart my computer. Well, I
did. Now, the login screen changed to press Ctrl-Alt-Del to start login in.
BUT the authentication screen does not show an option to use dial-up before
loging in. Unlike XP Pro where I can connect to our domain using PPTP vpn
to the ISA 2004 server before I login so that I am fully authenticated with
our AD server.

How can I do this in Vista Ultimate?

Why do you need to? Just log on locally using your domain account - this
will authenticate using cached credentials - then start the VPN afterwards.

Ahh - not sure that will work as there won't be cached credentials the
first time round.. I've only done this with laptops that join the
domain while LAN-attached in the office then get used at home over a
VPN. I'm not sure why your home computer needs to join the domain as
you can access domain resources over the VPN.
