Runtime error + IE 7 and Windows Live Messenger

This just started happening recently. If I click on any of the web links on
messenger (go to hotmail/spaces/ect) it opens IE 7 but causes a runtime
error. I googled for the error it said it was related to a bad add in.
Everyone was pointing to the google toolbar, so I uninstalled that, but it
still happens. Should I uninstall windows live messenger and reinstall it?
Or must I disable all add ins first, then test one at a time?
