Lock Down
I recently purchased a new HP PC 1710, it came with a gig of ram, &
Vista...is this enough ram to power the new Vista...?..as my browser
(mozilla) keep locking up when I minimize it...also the task manager locks
up...I added another gig of Ram, and the problem still persists, although not
as often...should I add another gig of Ram...or is this going to be a normal
function, of this new & improved OS...also I can't get the XM radio player to
work....any suggestions?

Re: Lock Down
1GB is sufficient for the average user, 2GB is a good amount. You've
answered your own question though, if the problems are still there after
adding more RAM, that wasn't the problem. It's not likely the OS that's
causing the problem, but some piece of software fluff that HP has loaded on
the system, or a hardware problem. Go into programs and remove anything you
don't use and see if it helps.

Sure add more RAM. THat's what Vista is all about ... buy, buy, purchase,
purchase ... keep Microsoft's "partners" richer.

Cheers.
