compatability with office pro 95

i just got new computer with vista. set up word 95 from office from office
pro 95 ok.but want to remove a componnt and get into the program only as far
as to choose and select what i want to remove and then am stuck on a screen
saying that program is not responding..can u help. i have tried the
compatability wizard with no change...thank u
