Weird middle/wheel mouse click acts like alternate Alt+tab.... HEL
Hello,

I very frequently use the center mouse button/wheel to click on links in
both Internet explorer and Firefox to open links in a new tab.

About an hour ago, my Vista Ultimate installation started showing a new
behavior. When I center-click anywhere on the screen (link, desktop,
application, etc), All of my full applications hide and on my desktop is
shown a grid of miniature representations of all of my applications. It is
similar to pressing Alt+tab except the tumbnails are in a grid on the entire
screen from top to bottom. You can mouse over them and they highlight and
then you can click them to get to the full sized application.

I'm assuming that this is a "feature" and would be very cool if I didn't use
the center click so frequently in web browsing. I can't find any mention of
it and can't figure out how to turn it off. Is it some accessibility thing
that I turned on by accident with some cryptic keyboard shortcut?

Thanks in advance for any help you might offer!

Microsoft mouse included Intellipoint 6.1 software which has special features
like the one that you are describing. you can go to control panel and select
mouse to change settings for the middle click.

you can also customize the middle mouse click to perform flip 3d instead by
putting this C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe dwmapi #105

Perfect! that was exactly what I needed. It's odd though, I've been using
the Intellipoint 6.1 drivers now for over a week and this just started
happening today.

Thanks agian for your help.
