Could be related to sleep or power issues. I'd check those first. This
tutorial has a wealth of information on how to check the various
settings:

I hope this helps.

Re: Windows is resuming
Power down your system. Press and hold your power button till it does that,
and then power up. Press F8 during the 'black screen' that is right after
your first BIOS screen. (Pressing many times is OK) The menu you see there
will have Safe Mode as a choice. Start that, then restart again normally.

Do you have a Toshiba? A mate of mine had the same problem continually and
after battling for three months with Microsft and Toshiba support he gave up
and sold it on eBay and bought an XP laptop to replace it.

Re: Windows is resuming

This is really simple to fix. Turn off laptop. Take out the battery.
Put battery back in. Start laptop. Fixed !!!

Re: Windows is resuming

Hard to believe someone spent three months trying to fix this. Laptop
stuck with "Windows is resuming" showing. Fixing it takes 3 minutes
and I`ll repeat.

1. Turn off power to laptop
2. Take out battery
3. Put battery back in
4. Start laptop

Problem solved and laptop working again.

Hard to believe that you think replying to a three-month-old post
makes you the hero of the day.

It's even harder to believe that you were so proud of yourself that
you effectively repeated your post.

Actually it appears that the gentleman named .Joe was able to resolve the issue the same day that it was posted. You submitted your resolution after it was already resolved. Look Back.
