Flash/Animated wallpaper.

Hi...

I like to have Animated/flash wallpapers, in Windows XP i could do that with
some tools/programs, but now with windows vista, i just can't get this to
work. I tried several programs, but none of them worked.

Is it possible to use flash wallpapers in windows vista? and if so, how to
do it.

You allow activeX in IE, tools menu, Options, Advanced tab, scroll to
security area, and put a check in 'allow active content to run in files on
my computer.'

It does not work, it says "Cannot load desktop settings"

do you know what to do about that?

Kenny, I respect Mark's knowledge of Vista enormously and he certainly knows
more about Vista than I do, but it is my understanding that the ability to
use animated pictures as your Desktop was removed in Vista. The feature
that let you do this in XP is called "Active Desktop" and since it is a
security hole that allows malware to run, it was purposely removed in
Vista.

Vista no longer has "active desktop" that flash wallpaper used
in order to work

What you can do is get this ( its free for 2 animated wallpapers)

you can make your own also

and it works with all versions of vista (home premium, business, ultimate_
