WEBDAV
I can't seem to access remote sites via WEBDAV from Vista.

I have found the command to add a Network place -- but no matter what format
or site (at least any of my remote sites I get an error trying to connect).
All the 'problem' sites are accessible via the WEBDAV functionality in XP
without issue

Is there some trick I am unaware of or does this not work in Vista?

Re: WEBDAV
Have you tried it without "Protected Mode"?

Rightclick a Command prompt icon, and 'run as admin'. At the prompt, type:
start IExplore

Try the webdav site from that instance of IE.

Did you mean Explorer not IE?

Running Explorer as admin doesn't seem to make a difference -- still the
same error.

"The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another."
