Nero 7.5.9 is not Vista compatible: NiReg error in installation
Ahead said that Nero 7.5.9 is Vista compatible, but this is FALSE! Because
I've installed it and during installation some components are not registered
due privileges in NiReg.exe cmd commands, see this image:

Re: Nero 7.5.9 certainly works in Vista RTM.
Bill D.

It is Vista compatible for a high percentage of people. There is a
principle in science I know you can appreciate. It's statistical integrity.
In order to say that you would have to have a representative statistically
intact sample. Your experience with it is not. You can't extrapolate your
particular problem with Nero 7.5.9 to represent a systemic flaw. I have it
and it works flawlessly,as do many thousands and growing. I made sure to
custom install so that I didn't have a ton of its components I don't want or
need.

Good luck. Nero has email support or just use the Windows Installer Cleanup
Utility, then uninstall it and reinstall. You might consider eliminating
many of the bloated components you won't want or need that come with it.

CH

Seems to work fine here. I've burned many DVDs already under Vista (x64).

If you need to move to an alternate, I am using Roxio EMC 9 with no issues.
(Note: Don't install the Drag to Disk add on if you are using VPC.)

Nero 7.5.9A gave me the same problem as described. On my x64 machine.
Could it be a x64 problem?

Re: Nero 7.5.9 certainly works in Vista RTM.
And yes. the NiReg problem is with registering the Nero multimedia DLLs
(NeroHD, AVC, video editor, and the works) However, the CD/DVD burning
works fine...... Even with the NiReg problem. Sent all information to
Ahead already and they are pretty much silent........
